Question: any tips for an oil pastel beginner?I plan to paint a portrait, and then stained with Oil Pastels. The newly on the oil pastel, and what I would like some tips.
Answer: Yes, here is a I discovered me, although I am sure that other there have already been used. I found that if I was a brush dipped in turpentine after applying the pastel I could see the edges and blend colors and some fine points, etc. Since this "discovery" I do all my outdoor soften with Oil Pastels and sketches of turpentine.
