Newton Oil Paint

Question: watercolor brushes for the oil?

I have the Winsor and Newton Watercolor Brush Pack sable hair brushes, and this would be ok be used for the oil to?

Answer: The brushes are the same, except for the length of the handles. Watercolor painted more than a painted usually on canvas with oil and acrylic. But make no mistake you can use all the brushes interchangeable as you want or need. Heck Choose colors with a stick, a stone, every desired object. Edit: The other people are right. I am just saying you can not expect to go watercolor brush thick to face severe colors. Artists use soft sable and plastic for the final steps for details and mixes. If you have the same hair, both in watercolor and Oil brushes and the only real difference is used, the length of the handle. I also managed an art-supply store for 10 years! Skip to www.cheapjoes.co and look at all the different brushes available, and you will see a long handle and other soft sable brushes for oil and acrylic. You need a stiff Bristle Brush Move for more texture and color to the original safe.
