Paints Large

Question: tips and techniques for painting a large wall space?

I paint my bedroom, but I've never really painted anything that before. I have all that stuff, but I'm a big perfectionist and I do not want spots or stripes. I know its not that complicated, but does anyone have any tips to share for a beginner?

Answer: Sure! As a professional painter, I can help you do it. Choose color carefully shine. Flat or Eggshell is generally quite simple, without streaks. Semi-gloss or gloss paints are a bit more difficult to use, latex / emulsion paint ... much easier to sand Sander walls with Pol ... only lightly remove scuff plates and all the great spots ... not forget to patch any holes and let dry before painting. (These patches should be a flat ceiling with a white primer, or you run the risk of "flashing") Important: .. Rince rollers in water before use ... I actually almost brush or comb them first to ensure there are no pieces of fluff on it. Once you put a "Fluffy" roller in the ink reservoir, its too late. Trim and ceilings should be painted first, if necessary. When you first start cutting of the walls. Start in a closet or somewhere not so obvious .. This will help your practice nice straight lines. when cutting near the ceiling .... never touch the ceiling, but make your line as close as possible to the ceiling When rolling, know that you do, Coats 2, go so dont worry About coverage.2nd probably easier to coat on, and the spread of approximately one to 3 or 4 feet rollerful wallto ceiling Hope this helps
