Question: Is it safe to paint Acrylic Paint with water craft?
I am 36 weeks pregnant and have small projects that I would like to the entire nursery before the baby arrives. These projects, which paint with water based acrylic craft. These are the kind that comes in little tubes in every craft store in a large variety of colors. I know that you should avoid latex paint, but I'm not sure I paint over the craft. Are they safe during pregnancy be used?
Answer: Acrylic Paints are very similar to latex, but they radiate a very slightly less than the smell of paint house Diversity. I would say that it works well as long as you had them in a well ventilated area. You want to be sure that all colors are selected to make non-toxic. Most craft paints are, but consider each case will be marked as such. Some artists Acrylic Paints contain pigments that are not safe during the Pregnancy (or actually not at all, when in contact with skin occurs), such as cadmium, cobalt and lead. Again, this is not common in Craft quality paints, but make sure that you use the AP Non-Toxic label on each tube. I should note, a color that says, Hue, and is Non-Toxic is in order. Hue is the pigment used is a close replica of the original color, but a safe and / or with less expensive version. For example: Would not actually contain Cadmium Yellow Hue Cadmium, they should still be a non-toxic label. I just wanted to add that in the event that someone reads this and panic:) The key is identified in the non-toxic, if you have that you're good. Colors contain pigments, which should always with health risks as such. If you are still unsure, contact will be marked and ask your Physician. Good Luck!
