Question: Do you prefer Soft Pastels or Oil Pastels? Do you like this as a medium?Normally I am a painter, but I I do not use in a drawing class in school and I was told that the Chalk Pastels and Oil Pastels. What is your favorite and why? I would think Oil Pastels are much less chaotic!, and probably more fluid. Any comments are welcome.
Answer: I prefer the soft pastel shades. I find it easier to mix with and work, but they are Messier as the oils. It also comes on the search, you are trying to achieve. Soft Pastels give me more and more a weakened or water views, while the Oil Pastels give me a vibrant and colorful appearance. But that's just my opinion. Everyone has different techniques.
