Question: products for the oil painting? Oil only ...?I have experience painting, but I am relatively * * New to oils. What kind of Screen should I use, value, professional grade or museum? Best brand for each product? Should I frame? Should I put it in a role or already installed? Lines or Cotton canvas? Pre-primed? When primed, it should triple primed? If I want to paint on paper, what kind? Bristle brushes and sable brushes and other naturally Hair, synthetic / blended, or a brush set? best brands of paints in primary colors and small tubes, what are the names of colors? Ex: yellow, yellow hue, Cobalt yellow oil, yellow oil, cadmium orange oil or orange hue cadmiun oil? What is the name I want is just the basic codes? Best medium to use? Cold pressed linseed oil? Answer: Since you start out even, then You can also start with the study benefits all. You do not want to make money while you wats sh * t out. A medium sized duck canvas, when you go on your own stretch, will work well. If you are not your own Strecth you may want to buy a pre-stretched, pre-primed canvas. Linen is a little harder to work, but more traditional. It is more expensive than the canvas, and you have the good stuff when you buy buy bedding, otherwise it is a little bumpy. If Oil on paper with paint, you have to prime it with gesso. Otherwise, the oil in the color red, and finally soak through the paper. Since starting out I would Recommend a simple pig hair brush set. Natural hair is the best, but many plastics work well and are cheaper. Store brands or student are qualities of color also for the just right. Here are the colors you want light get the whole base set: Alizarin Crimson Cadmium Cad Cad red medium yellow medium yellow Veridian Green Ultramarine Blue Cerulean blue zinc white (best for painting people) Titanium White (has a tendency to turn chalky, but still good for the live and whever you want a really fresh white) you can buy media already. However, it is best to make and mix your own, but I do not think you are ready yet for that. You really shouldn't be water soluble. Buy yourself some brush cleaner and Murphy's oil soap.
